It has been a wild whirlwind of activity all over the state, from the elections, lame duck, the holidays, and now we're in full planning mode for the Regional Summits on February 9th (we can't wait to see you at the Southeast Michigan one!). Sometimes it feels like we jump into another organizing campaign before getting the chance to really process and breathe what just happened. If you joined us at any of our events, hopefully you gathered that Intentionality is one our values as an organization. We want to be intentional about the work, and this requires that we slow down, breathe, and reflect on how it affects our communities.
This is why're hosting regional summits on February 9th. It's an opportunity to slow down, build relationships with other organizers, reflect about what's important to us, envision what we want for Southeast Michigan. If this is your first time as an activist, join us, we need your energy. If you're a seasoned organizer, join us, we need your wisdom! And we especially need folks to help us organize the Summit, so if you want help please fill out this brief form.
The Southeast Michigan Summit will be at Focus:HOPE Family Learning Center at Detroit. Register here!
And if you still need a reason to attend, check out these reminders of what we can do when we come together.
